Action on Social Justice, Sustainability & Social Inclusion

About SCF

Sydney Community Forum (SCF) is an independent non-government organisation that has existed since 1974. We work towards social justice, inclusion, and sustainability in a broad region of Sydney.

For over five decades, SCF has worked alongside community members, government, and partner organisations to strengthen local leadership and amplify the voices of those often unheard.

For fifty years, we’ve been a trusted home for grassroots action — a place where community groups come together to learn, connect, and build the confidence to act on the issues that matter most. Over the decades, our space has nurtured and seeded more than thirty community organisations, each carrying forward a legacy of local leadership and collective care.

For us, community development and systemic advocacy go hand in hand.

SCF is a founding and active member of the Sydney Alliance, a broad coalition of civil society organisations in Sydney.
